**SCOPE**:
The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s information technology team include Project & Integrations, Help Desk and Business Analytics teams. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Director plays a key role in the strategic planning, execution, and success of IT strategies, ensuring alignment with the business objectives, optimizing resources, compliance and safeguarding the organization's digital assets.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES**:
**Management**:

- Provides coaching and mentoring for a team of IT professionals to ensure that protocols are followed to provide a consistent and high level of service/support to all users.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review workload/tasks, discuss challenges and provide/receive feedback from team.
- Responsible for account management on the ERP System (Navision)
- Stay current on industry trends, privacy regulations, cyber security measures and make implementation recommendations accordingly.

**Drive Business**:

- Responsible for the overseeing of Business Intelligence (BI) Operational reporting/initiatives; the development, testing, maintenance, and implementation of operational BI tools. Collect and document BI requirements as needed.
- Manage relationship for operations software (Blueprint) and coordinates software updates as required.
- Lead BI team with designing, constructing, modifying, integrating, implementing, and testing data models and database management systems that produce accurate reporting required by business unit leaders.
- Support Client Excellence program and provide technical solutions to support business success.

**Operational/Functional**:

- Overall responsibility for maintenance and implementation of IT/Communication equipment and Software.
- Oversee network/system administration, technical and site support.
- IT Business Continuity Plan, including maintaining related documents, sufficient levels of spare hardware and redundancy on key systems\services. Actively look for I.T solutions that are in line with and facilitate the business plan.
- Provide voice and data vendor management services to ensure sufficient and consistent service levels in addition to cost efficiencies for data lines/services, voice communications and mobile phones.
- Plan and implement any/all I.T initiatives (voice/data services, printers, PCs/monitors/security/POS terminals) for Canada including Greenfields and acquisitions.
- Work with the US and the global I.T groups to execute high level requirements, as needed.

**SUCCESS CRITERIA**:

- Ensuring that IT initiatives and strategies are closely aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Success is measured by how effectively IT contributes to driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness.
- Demonstrating improvements in operational efficiency, such as reducing downtime, increasing system and data reliability, and streamlining processes.
- Successfully delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards, while also maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

**REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND CONSIDERATIONS**:

- Post Secondary educations specializing in Information Technology or related program
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT including 5+ years of experience in a Supervisory/Management role
- Knowledge of IT software (web, programming, support, software/hardware)
- Expert knowledge on Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of hardware and Telephony/VOIP
- Strong understanding of database architecture and business intelligence
