**Position Description**:
**Clinical Research Project Coordinator - Neuroscience and mental health research team**

Mental health clinical research team is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC) for projects focused on understanding how genetic and environmental factors may contribute to childhood mental health conditions including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related medical disorders. Duties include coordination of the general population (Spit for Science) study. The CRPC will participate in an active clinical-research laboratory, interacting with colleagues of various disciplines and levels of training. Most work will occur at SickKids but some off-site shifts maybe required. The Clinical Research Project Coordinator reports to the Principal Investigator or their designate (i.e., Project Manager).

**Here’s what you’ll get to do**:

- Work closely with other clinical research staff, manager and/or PI within the research lab
- Liaise with external stakeholders
- Supervise clinical research project assistants, various students and volunteers.
- Manage off-site study personnel
- Coordinate research ethics amendments and renewals
- Aid with research protocols, consent forms, training handbook and SOPs
- Source and purchase study materials
- Coordinate and assist with interviewing, onboarding and training study staff
- Manage and initiate virtual recruitment procedures
- Oversee data collection, data integrity and data transfers by junior staff
- Oversee data management (using REDCap)
- Oversee the informed consent from study participants, the administration of research tasks to study participants (children and youth), recontacting of study participants, and the collection of saliva DNA samples and oral microbiome samples from participants
- Participate in laboratory-based clinical research tasks
- Participate in other administrative activities to ensure the smooth running of projects.
- Coordinate and attend departmental and team meetings, prepare a written summary of key discussion points and action items in order to increase knowledge and understanding.

**Here’s what you need**:

- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in psychology or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year previous study coordination or project management experience
- Previous clinical research experience or research experience with children and families
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Motivated and keen to learn new skills
- High precision and attention to detail, patience and ability to work with complex tasks
- Superior communication, organization and time management skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members at various levels
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
- Experience working in a pediatric clinical research field is an asset
- Preference is given to those with clinical research experience
- Experience working with REDCap is an asset

**Employment Type**:

- Full time
