**SCOPE**

Reporting to the Executive Director, Equity Office, with a dotted line reporting to the Vice-Provost, Innovation in Teaching and Learning, the incumbent will lead the advancement of accessibility at Concordia University through established partnerships with disability communities, change management, partnership-building and the development and implementation of pertinent measures and initiatives. In collaboration with other University partners, the incumbent will also offer workshops and programming to the University community on best accessibility practices in relation to activities such as teaching and learning, communications, and administration.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop a prioritized plan to advance accessibility at Concordia University (immediate, medium, and long-term) with proposed timelines. The plan will account for change management that includes stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, resistance management, and engagement strategies for the various stakeholders affected by the plan. The change management strategy will include success metrics and a plan to achieve them.
- Work in collaboration with the various stakeholders to integrate change-management activities into the overall project plan as well as User-Centred Design (UCD) and Universal Design (UD) concepts and methodologies.
- Provide leadership in the areas of inclusivity and accessibility including the development and implementation of guidelines, programs, workshops, and practices. Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns. Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success. Ensure that guidelines and practices are aligned with the Accessibility Policy.
- Conduct readiness assessments by meeting with internal constituencies directly affected by the change and plan and execute user studies to enhance user experience in partnership with the process team and process owners.
- Develop a coaching, training, and acceptance-management plan. Work with the process owners and analysts to provide UD deliverables, including education and awareness. Engage in outreach and education, through the development and delivery of presentations, workshops, seminars, programs, and individual coaching, promoting awareness of disability issues, barriers, and accessibility.
- Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes. Conduct intake interviews, design effective response and/intervention plans, meet deadlines and evaluate results. Participate in regular review to support, develop, and maintain best practices and approaches.
- Advise the Executive Leadership, Deans, Chairs, Managers, and other change sponsors.
- Identify performance gaps, and work to develop and recommend the appropriate corrective actions based on the collection and analysis of measurable feedback.
- Collaborate with the rest of the team in documenting university processes and identifying stakeholders. Ensure that the University meets its obligations under related legislation, including but not limited to Federal and Provincial law and Tri-council requirements. Conducts research and analyzes data for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Participate in relevant committees internally or externally, as needed, in order to promote adoption of accessibility goals

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Master's degree in a field relevant to the primary responsibilities and over 4-7 years of experience in leading large scale organizational change efforts.
- Lived experience with disability and/or experience working with disability communities.
