**The opportunity**

Reporting to the Project Director, the Quality Director is responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the project's quality management system.

The Project Quality Director will be responsible for quality management throughout the life of the project, to ensure project conformity and customer satisfaction. He/she will be responsible for maintaining the project's quality performance, customer relations, monitoring deliverables and leading the project's compliant acceptance.

**What YOU Will Do**
- Participate actively in quality meetings with customers and stakeholders;
- Lead the Construction Supervision team and its activities to ensure quality control of the Contract Work;
- Ensure the planning, preparation, coordination and execution of internal QMS audits;
- Ensure that documented quality information is communicated to the customer's designated representative within the prescribed deadlines;
- Ensure the identification, recording and control of non-conformities and Corrective Actions in accordance with contractual requirements;
- Provide the Designated Representative with internal and external quality audit reports ten (10) days after the inspection activity or upon receipt of the report;
- Ensure the definition and implementation of preventive and corrective measures to prevent the recurrence of identified Non-Conformities;
- Approve and forward Completed Works Reports;
- Review and forward Inspection Plans and Tests to the customer prior to the start of work, in accordance with the deadlines set out in the Contract;
- Follow up on the issuance and closure of NCs;
- Follow-up on Non-Conformities and Deficiencies and coordinate visits related to the Partial Provisional Acceptance(s) (PPA), if applicable, and the PR of the Work;
- Coordinate the issuing of certificates of conformity for their team, as work progresses;
- Develop procedures to ensure smooth operation and management of internal and external project documents and information;
- Develop the quality management system in line with contractual requirements, the policy defined by the project manager and agreements between CJV companies;
- Write and keep up to date all plans, procedures, instructions and indicators of the integral management system;
- Coordinate and organize all Quality activities, including materials and laboratory activities;
- Accompany and support all Project departments in Quality matters by making recommendations for the adoption of action plans and indicators and coordinating their implementation;
- Manage all ISO 9001:2015 certification procedures;
- Maintain the project's Quality culture through training, awareness-raising and information;
- Participate in, manage, validate and verify corrective and preventive actions arising from complaints, audits and management reviews;
- Prepare and conduct project management reviews;
- Consolidate all monthly, half-yearly and annual Quality reports.

**What YOU Will Bring**
- A recognized university degree of a technical nature, e.g. in engineering, combined with a minimum of eight (8) years' experience on a similar large-scale project and in underground work.
- Rigor, autonomy, pedagogy, good interpersonal skills and team spirit are all necessary qualities for this position.
- You are familiar with international ISO 9001:2015 standards, technical standards and continuous improvement processes. You will be able to make proposals on all aspects of continuous improvement, both functional and operational.
- Your ability to analyze and synthesize, as well as your strength of conviction and commitment, will enable you to succeed in this role. You are prepared to ensure regulatory compliance with technical standards.
