The Materials Coordinator requires extensive skills in all phases of materials management planning and associated supply chain execution. This role monitors and assures integrity of the Materials Management Process, supporting the flow of materials to schedule and the flow of material information; including the required interfaces and integrations to operate the materials management process through the project life-cycle.

This role is the lead person to identify and facilitate resolution of material priorities through forecasting availability, ensuring that the supply chain is compatible with the Construction Work Package (CWP) schedule to feed each location with the required materials. Material Identification skills in codification, descriptions, classifications, and integral knowledge of core transaction data requirements through the complete MM Process is essential; Material Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Shipments, and Inventory Management. The Procurement Materials Coordinator will work closely with the project disciplines' activities relating to the inputs to the materials management process for consistency, completeness, and connectivity of the materials data to be able to accurately provide material status and manage the forecast materials availability and readiness.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- This role assumes materials planning and forecasting to ensure engineering and procurement are fully synchronized and integrated to provide availability of materials to the off-site and on-site construction activities.
- Report and receives direction from the Materials Manager as to how the project will be executed in order to reach the objectives of the project through use of systems.
- Implement and execute the Materials Responsibility Matrix with all involved project disciplines to ensure agreement in the division of responsibilities between the client, EPCM disciplines, contractors and other partners.
- Provide operational direction to support control and tracking of equipment/materials for materials management related activities of engineering, procurement and construction via the respective discipline leads, including the Lead Planner.
- Setup, deploy and control the materials management system, processes, procedures and reporting functionalities, including operational direction and detail requirements for all the integrations required in the project's material management process.
- Provide material visibility and status; through leading completeness, consistency and connectivity of the data in the material management system, including material codes between the engineering bill of materials, purchasing activities and the construction fabrication/assembly/installation drawings.
- Maintain working consensus with the Engineering Materials Coordinator who will in turn coordinate with all engineering discipline leads in regards to materials definition and codification, bill of materials production and material requisition.
- Operate with mutual understanding and working consensus among all procurement discipline leads during purchasing, fabrication, shipment/delivery to site, material receipt, storage and finally free issue to contractor(s).
- Provide Materials Availability Forecast at the item level relating to project schedules, rapidly identifying and coordinate with partners for resolving material readiness priorities at all locations of the project.
- Ongoing assessment and improvement of the materials management process, systems, interfaces, integrations, and workflows through the life-cycle of the project.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of experience in a materials management or supply change role in an EPCM project environment on capital projects, working on large construction sites.
- Excellent experience with and knowledge of materials management systems and their setup, implementation, support and utilization.
- Technical knowledge/understanding of materials.
- Management, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling, construction and constructability issues with the relevant systems.
- Knowledge of stock coding, equipment/materials identification methods and specification development of systems.
- Knowledge of required standard procurement reporting specifications and best practices in respect to procurement discipline requirements.
