RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Administrative Assistant will perform various secretarial duties and will bring logístical, administrative and financial support to the research team.

General Duties

**Administrative support**:

- Support for the organization of meetings and seminars,
- Typing from dictation, note taking and writing of minutes,
- Preparation and submission of manuscripts and grants, including use of Endnote,
- Data entry/maintenance of updated databases,
- Organization of international travel for staff and investigators (tickets, accommodation, etc.),
- Submission/renewal of studies to ethics,
- Students and visiting researchers’ orientation,
- Compilation of data and organization of files,
- Checking and sending mail,
- Monthly backup of all staff computers,
- Other related duties, as required,

**Financial support**:

- Prepare/submit/classify expense requests and purchase requests,
- Manage reimbursement requests,

**Communications**:

- Formatting of all types of documents (PPT, Word, poster, etc.),
- Translation of documents (from English to French),
- Maintenance of websites and updating mailing lists,
- Preparation of newsletters and their distribution,
- Promotion of events and activities,

Education / Experience

**Education**: High school diploma
- Fluent in French and English, spoken and written,
- Great sense of organization and administrative skills,
- Good interpersonal and communication skills,
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and with tight deadlines,

Additional information

**Status**: Part-time (21 hours/week) or Full-time temporary (35 hours/week) according to availabilities

**Pay Scale**: Commensurate with education and experience

**Work Shift**: Day, with flexibility in the hours

**Work Site**: CORE-RECRU 5252 boul. De Maisonneuve West
