**Manager, Business Engagement**

The Brampton Board of Trade is seeking a Manager of Business Engagement to join our dynamic team. As a Manager, you'll play a key role in driving engagement with businesses in Brampton and beyond. You'll be responsible for developing engaging content, designing and executing events, and leveraging modern digital tools to promote Brampton’s regional chamber of commerce. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with decision-makers in both the private sector and government, build your professional network, and enhance your portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Engage businesses by phone and online communications to drive attendance in programs and events, renewing membership, and contributing sponsorships in the Brampton Board of Trade.
- Work closely with the VP of Engagement to ensure that member needs are identified and met, including the management of member surveys and focus groups.
- Develop engaging social media and video content, and invitations that resonate with our target audience and drives participation in our programs and events.
- Design and execute engaging events that showcase Brampton businesses and provide, learning and networking opportunities.
- Leverage social media, web analytics, and other creative skills to promote Board of Trade meetings, events and enhance our online presence.
- Conduct research to identify emerging trends and opportunities and create publications that guide our business members.
- Actively manage our CRM strategy and database to ensure effective tracking of payables/receivables and analysis of member engagement.
- Track and fulfil sponsor obligations on all programs and events
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with other business and community organizations that can help advance our mission and vision.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated success in delivering impactful Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, events, and forums.
- Strong writing, video-editing and digital skills including content development, social media campaigns, web analytics, and other creative skills.
- Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management platforms.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects and deliverables.
- Experience and interest in economic development, entrepreneurialism, and business advocacy.
- Ability to recognize and tackle problems by coming up with creative, effective solutions.
- 3-5+ years of experience in event planning, business sales, association management or marketing.
- Post-secondary education in event management, project management, business administration, or marketing an asset.
- Access to a vehicle to transport provisions to and from event locations, scout new venues and attend events.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as events may commence before or after regular 9:00 am - 4:00 pm office hours.

Salary range: CDN$50,000/yr - CDN$55,000/yr
