A career in Finances at National Bank means being part of the transformation to have a direct impact on the customer. As a Data Steward, you will be responsible for the management of the Finances sector's data and will participate in major projects. As part of your role, will be to ensure data quality in terms of accuracy, accessibility, consistency, completeness, and timeliness.

**Your role**
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data (metadata) and its specific requirements for business needs (definition, value lists, security & service levels, quality)
- Work closely with data owners
- Involvement in projects and initiatives to develop solutions for data integration and consumption initiatives by analyzing the impact on data requirements
- Collaborate with the CDO, IT and business lines on data best practices and policies
- Provide leadership on data quality improvement and management throughout the data lifecycle
- Provide leadership and guidance on governance best practices
- Assist new projects and initiatives by analyzing impacts on data requirements

This position reports to the Data Manager of the Finance Business Intelligence Center team whose mission is to contribute to improved decision making through guidance and solutions to leverage data and accelerate the Bank's evolution.

**Required skills**
- Bachelor's degree related to the industry and 7 years of relevant experience or Master's degree related to the industry and 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with a data documentation tool (e.g., Collibra)
- Knowledge of data management and analysis (i.e., data requirements definition, business rules and metadata documentation, reference data management, value lists, data quality)
- Experience in (conceptual business) data modeling
- Positive, innovative and committed professional
- Ability to evolve in a changing environment
- Strong collaboration and cooperation skills
- Good capacity for analysis, synthesis and popularization
- Leadership, influence, initiative and ability to manage priorities
- Bilingual (spoken/written) French and English for dealing with English-speaking partners outside Quebec

**Preferred skills**
- Knowledge of accounting concepts
- Knowledge of banking and financial institutions
- Experience in data modeling (business conceptual) and knowledge of the Power Designer tool
