**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
Under the guidance of their Supervisor, the Coordinator, Community Learning is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of community engagement programs and events at TRCA sites and community hubs, municipal/regional partner venues, and designated outdoor spaces.

The Coordinator, Community Learning will provide superior customer service and develop and implement specialized funding projects in collaboration with their Supervisor. Leadership is also provided in revising current programs and events while developing new ones that meet the needs of the communities engaged. The main tasks of this contract will involve the assessment of current TRCA programs and practices and the development of a new Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessessibility plans across TRCA’s various Education sites and programs.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Act as a point person for the coordination and development of inclusive, accessible, and equitable community engagement programs and events that cater to diverse audiences
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to strategically plan community programs and events
- Track program and event expenditures within a fixed budget
- Prepare text for marketing materials and coordinate distribution of promotional materials and social media
- Work in collaboration with Supervisor to develop and implement specialized funding projects
- Collect, enter and evaluate data related to programs and events focused on inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility
- Work with other TRCA staff to enhance inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility in events and programs and share best practices
- With the support of the Supervisor, Education, lead the development of new inclusive, diverse and accessible programs and actively seek new delivery partnership models that provide equal opportunity for participation

**What will you need to succeed**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental Studies, Social Science, Biology, Outdoor Recreation, Education or other related degree
- Valid G-class driver’s license and use of a vehicle
- 2-3 years’ experience coordinating and delivering community-based programs and events
- Excellent organization skills (i.e. time management, budget tracking, scheduling, reporting, inventory)
- Computer literate
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Facilitation skills with diverse audience members
