In the JCC’s recently completed Strategic Plan, it set a bold and ambitious goal that, by 2026, the number of people engaging with the Prosserman JCC (PJCC) and the Schwartz/Reisman Centre (SRC) will triple as the JCC becomes the centre of a thriving Jewish community. We are on a growth path of transformative change so that, when we’re done, 75,000 people annually will experience the JCC’s new mission; to be a hub of community, dedicated to the enrichment of Jewish life through meaningful shared experiences.

**Are YOU our Children and Family Programs Coordinator?**

The Children and Family Programs Coordinator is an integral part of the Program team, developing and implementing educational, recreational, health and well-being programs for children and families. The Children and Family Programs Coordinator is **willing and able to work a flexible schedule adjusted for some evening and weekend work **as needed to be able to meet and greet program participants and instructors, especially at the start of new sessions. This is essential to build relationships and understand the needs and wants of the program users. The programs will seek to provide learning, fun, community engagement and a connection to the J for the participants. The Key Responsibilities include:

- Develop and introduce a robust collection of new programs that meet our participants’ needs and wants and that fit our vision and mission.
- Develop and nurture relationships with external stakeholders who can contribute to program content.
- Visit programs, meet participants and instructors.
- Work with a lay committee to provide strong stakeholder input.
- Work collaboratively with the fundraising department on sponsorships.
- Collaborate with marketing department on branding and communications.
- Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Facilitate participants accommodation needs wherever possible.
- Develop relationships with program participants and instructors to increase engagement and retention.
- Understand the instructors’ unique program set-up needs and communicate these to Room Booking staff.
- Troubleshoot any problems in a timely manner.
- Support special events run by the Program department.
- Attend and participate in community wide events understanding that some will require evening and weekends attendance.

- At least two years’ experience in developing and overseeing programs for children and family.
- Demonstrated success in customer service/sales.

**Reports to**: Supervisor, Children and Family

**Job level and Salary Range**: $47,000-$55,000, dependent on qualifications and experience. The JCC has a comprehensive compensation strategy and benchmarked salary bands, available upon request.
