**Procurement Officer, Purchasing Agent**
Ottawa, ON Canada

The **Strategic Procurement Officer **oversees the supply chain procurement process, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods and services while adhering to policies and budgets.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Procurement Management: Oversee the full procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies
- Supplier Management: Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve issues
- Order Processing: Review and approve purchase orders for accuracy
- Cost Negotiation: Assist in negotiating pricing and delivery terms
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control to ensure standards are met
- Reporting: Generate reports on purchasing activities and KPIs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to align procurement activities

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 to 4 years of Supply Chain Management
- Associates or Certification in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
- Proven experience in procurement, with at least some experience in supervising and

leading processes
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and supply

chain management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and

sometimes under tight deadlines.
- Ability to problem solve procurement issues and come up with effective solutions to

meet deadlines needed
- Ability to set and adjust priorities based on urgency of requests
- Proficiency in using software and data entry

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- NetSuite: 2 years (preferred)
- Procurement: 3 years (required)
- Supplier management: 3 years (required)
