The Office of the Dean provides leadership in academic programming and services to the campus, ensuring a positive and academically responsive environment to change. Within the broader University community, the Vice-Principal Academic & Dean represents the policies and points of view of U of T Scarborough, and makes independent judgments on University matters. **Your opportunity**:
The Programs and Curriculum Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Academic Programs Officer and indirect supervision from the Manager, Undergraduate, Graduate and Post-Doctoral Initiatives, and is engaged in a wide-range of high-level and confidential activities related to undergraduate academic curriculum, and the creation, review and closure of academic programs and units, as part of the University of Toronto Quality Assurance Process, which encompasses all undergraduate and graduate academic programs and all academic units at the University of Toronto Scarborough.

Key duties include: 1) providing oversight and ongoing advice for academic curriculum development and modification, including: advising academic units regarding their undergraduate minor curriculum modifications; probing for information to establish needs for curriculum modifications; establishing the annual curriculum development and approval timetable; maintaining and updating user manuals and other documentation; providing training and support for faculty and administrative staff on the University’s Curriculum Manager (CM) system; inputting and maintaining the inventory of UTSC academic programs and courses in CM; and maintaining the academic programs and curriculum related pages of the Dean’s website; 2) developing/improving, editing, and updating the content, and managing the annual production of the UTSC Undergraduate Academic Calendar; 3) providing administrative support for the external reviews of academic programs and units, including: acting as main point of contact for external reviewers; and preparing and/or distributing related documentation and; 4) carrying out special assignments related to academic program and curriculum matters as required.

Working closely with members of the Dean’s Office, Chairs, Program Directors, members of the Registrar’s Office at UTSC, and the Provost’s Office, the incumbent will work to ensure that these processes operate in accordance with the highest academic and procedural standards, thereby advancing UTSC’s academic aspirations and reputation.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Reviewing and assessing feedback received from program stakeholders
- Analyzing and making recommendations for programming enhancements
- Advising staff on program curriculum change policies and procedures
- Keeping well-informed on changes to courses, program requirements, policies and procedures
- Liaising with stakeholders to support initiatives
- Coordinating the schedule for academic calendars
- Delivering training sessions on curriculum data management systems
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a University, working in the delivery or support of undergraduate and graduate academic programs.
- Must demonstrate a high level of diplomacy and possess the ability to work independently with minimum of supervision and with a high level of initiative in matters requiring judgment and discretion; must also work well as a member of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the capacity to deal with a wide range of staff, faculty and senior academic administrators.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated skills in developing readable, written instructional/informational resources in print and on the web.
- Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines.
