Zymeworks is proudly headquartered in our brand new, net-zero facility located in the vibrant Main St biotech hub of Vancouver, BC, with operations in Bellevue, WA, Dublin, Ireland, Singapore and the Bay Area.

The Manager, Accounts Payable & Treasury will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable function, collaborating with our Procurement, Accounting and FP&A teams, as well as managing the overall Treasury function. This position is a maternity leave backfill for up to 20 months, ending December, 2025.

**Work Requirement**:
This role will be based out of our Vancouver office and is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy, with a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- In collaboration with Procurement, support the procure-to-pay process
- Manage KPIs to help support our accounts payable function's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee weekly payment runs and wire creation.
- Assist with working capital management.
- Support and assist in the administration of our corporate credit card programs.
- Assists with bank administration and online banking platforms including access, authorized users, and internal control requirements.
- Support month-end close and quarterly financial reporting processes by preparing reconciliations, analysis and working papers as required.
- Ensures finance and treasury activities are compliant with the company’s policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Supports annual insurance program renewal process.
- Reviews and recommends improvements to treasury processes and procedures.
- Supervises, develops, and leads the team members by managing timelines and performance, setting goals and objectives, and providing ongoing mentorship and training.
- Assist with any requirements for the annual audit.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and signing authority policies.
- Assist with process improvement activities.
- Assist with special projects, as directed.

**Education and Experience**:

- Accounting/Finance designation required. Eight (8) years of relevant Accounting, Finance, and/or Treasury experience in a corporate environment with a publicly traded company.
- Previous biotech, life sciences or pharma experience a strong plus.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with SAP systems (S/4 HANA, Ariba, Concur).
- Sound knowledge of relevant accounting standards and SOX 404 regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in a multiple entity, currency and geographic locations environment (we operate in Canada, US, Ireland, Singapore and the UK).
- Proven experience leading and managing an accounts payable team, delivering excellent customer service results while promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Experience leading and managing the Treasury function in a multiple entity and currency environment.
- Previous experience monitoring performance and providing feedback.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment.

The Canadian base salary range for this full time position is $90,000 - $138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
