Are you excited about creating innovative people development and training programs?
As a learning specialist you will be responsible for creating amazing customer and employee experiences by designing Best Buy’s learning and development programs. You’ll use the latest and greatest methodologies that support our employees and leaders with any structured training, knowledge management, performance support, social collaboration, access to experts, social & network collaboration, and talent management needs.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in-person interactions at our head office located in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.
Come join our diverse team as a learning specialist
What You’ll do:
- Plan and develop impactful training programs for onboarding, skills development, team development, personal development, and leadership development
- Use the appropriate training methods and designs content to meet company objectives including e-Modules, webinar (virtual) training, instructor led training, on-the-job training, job aids and other resources needed
- Facilitate instructor led or virtual training including Train-the-Trainer classes
- Partners with internal Communication channels to develop communication and marketing plans and help create SOPs as needed
- Evaluate, measure, and maintain existing training programs and resources and making improvements to meet identified requirements and strategic objectives
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of a combination of experience working as a learning specialist with related formal training
- Advanced proficiency in MS office, Photoshop and Articulate
- Prior experience facilitating/presenting training programs in corporate/retail setting
- Experience in instructional design and video content creation (preferred)
