To support the Events Team with all in house special events. This will include working with the Manager, Community Engagement & Events, Director, Philanthropy and Community Engagement, Events Specialist and Event Coordinator, as well as various committees.**HOURS OF WORK**:
**DUTIES**:
- In consultation with, and in support of the Special Events Coordinator, you will:
- Support the acquisition/solicitation and tracking of auction item and prizing opportunities
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with partnership for all HWP signature events,
- Maintains all records relating to in house event auction items and prizing in relevant databases
- Responsible for Givergy and Just Giving platforms for events
- Responsible for Holiday Program (Oct-Dec) 2025
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- Post secondary education in Fundraising, Events Planning is required (a combination of experience and education, will be considered)
- Proficient with Microsoft Suites and Technologically adept to learn new systems quickly
- Experience with programs like Raisers Edge, Givergy and Canva would be strong assets and preferred
- Minimum of 3 years working in either special events, third party events, or Hospitality Planning
- Minimum of 3 years working in a not for profit or charity setting
- Superior interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated relationship builder
- Detail oriented and ability to maintain accurate records
- Professional self-starter, with excellent work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team
**Essential Requirements**

- Proof of COVID Vaccinations
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
- Clear Police Record Check
- Clear Step One Reading of TB Test
- Two work related references
