Sales and Coordinator in Catering

The Sales and Coordinator in Catering is responsible for driving sales, planning, and coordinating catering services for corporate and private clients. This includes managing events such as corporate buffets, private home events, lunch box programs, and large-scale catering for companies. The role requires strong organizational skills, a keen sense of customer service, and the ability to handle logistics and ensure client satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Sales and Client Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and private customers.
- Conduct sales outreach to promote catering services for lunch boxes, corporate buffets, and private events.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals to meet client needs.
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Handle incoming sales inquiries, provide detailed information, and close deals.
2. Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute catering services for a variety of events, including corporate buffets, private gatherings, and home events.
- Coordinate logistics such as staffing, delivery schedules, and setup/teardown for events.
- Ensure all catering operations meet company standards for food safety, quality, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to design custom menus based on client preferences and event type.
- Manage on-site catering operations, ensuring timely service and client satisfaction.
3. Administrative and Operational Tasks:
- Prepare contracts, invoices, and billing for catering services.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of client communications, contracts, and orders.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and materials.
- Assist in managing inventory for catering supplies and equipment.
4. Customer Relations:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after events.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their expectations are met.
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure long-term client relationships and potential repeat business.
5. Marketing and Business Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote catering services, including creating promotional materials and social media content.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to represent the company and expand the client base.
- Identify new opportunities for growth in both the corporate and private event sectors.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, catering coordination, or event management.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in corporate and private event catering, is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and catering logistics.
**Working Conditions**:
- This role may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
- The position may involve travel to client locations for meetings, site inspections, and event supervision.
Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
