Job Title: Accounts Receivable Associate (Aurora)

Reports to: Accounts Receivable Manager

**Job Overview**

The Accounts Receivable Associate works in the Aurora office to support the AR team in the Finance department. Collect past due invoices; reconcile payment discrepancies; process daily financial transactions supporting the administration of payments via cheques, credit card payments and other monies being received by the Company in fast paced environment.

Must be detail oriented with strong communications to interact with customers and other internal/external stakeholders.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Contact customers for past due invoices, other related payment inquiries
- Reconcile payment discrepancies on assigned accounts
- Code, scan, and remote deposit all Canadian cheques
- Code, scan, and remote deposit all US cheques
- Download bank statements, credit card statements daily
- Process credit card payments
- Prepare credit requests and process credit memos
- Send out monthly statements
- Perform credit checks and any other support tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**
- 2-3 years accounts receivable experience.
- Post secondary education/accounting education.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Must be a team player, flexible in tasks and priorities while working independently
- Positive and professional attitude
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products particularly Excel, Outlook, Word
- Preferred: any other system knowledge would be beneficial to understand in house accounting systems, ERP system to be able to adapt quickly
