**About the Role**
Nelson Education is seeking a People and Engagement (P&E) coordinator to report to the Executive Director, People and Engagement, and become an essential part of our team
Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with our People and Engagement team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, assisting in the preparation of employment contracts, and maintaining up-to-date applicant records.
**HR Coordinator Responsibilities**
- Support day-to-day P&E operations and tasks.
- Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the P&E team.
- Process and prepare personnel-related documentation and reports.
- Coordinate P&E projects and meetings
- Address employee inquiries about P&E policies and regulations.
- Assist in preparing payroll data and related information, in particular around onboarding and offboarding of employees.
**Recruitment Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with hiring managers to post job roles and utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) effectively.
- Provide onboarding support to new hires.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in human resource management, recruitment or similar field
- Basic knowledge of recruitment strategies and sourcing techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Familiarity with HR policies, regulations, and employment laws
- Detail-oriented approach
- Keen interest in growing in HR and a desire to develop towards an HRBP position.
- HR qualification and a post-secondary education in Human Resource Management would be a plus
