**Job Summary**:
This exciting and challenging position reports to the CEO and plays a key role in the company’s growth. The Operations Manager is a self-motivated and results-driven person that directs and manages our organization’s business activities. The manager, in collaboration with the department managers, develops and implements effective business strategies and processes. With a values-driven and passionate attitude, the manager will coach and collaborate with department managers to increase staff productivity, improve service quality, reinforce sustainability, and meet business objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage day-to-day operations, including project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Lead change management initiatives and guide the implementation process.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, Director of Client Services, and Senior Marketing Manager to ensure operations align with business objectives, including developing capacity levels, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
- Optimize workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create and manage budgets, project outlines, timelines, and KPIs to measure success.
- Visit work sites as needed to monitor progress and compliance with operational changes.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance and project status to the CEO.
- Work closely with the CTO on implementing technology-related changes.
- Develop and implement growth strategies to achieve company goals and objectives related to operations.
- Promote and align operations with the company’s values-driven culture.
- Oversee training, coaching, and performance management for department managers (e.g., Contents Manager, Cabinet Shop Manager, Construction Manager, Facility Manager.) The role also has two dispatchers reporting to them.
- Quarterbacking and developing systems for CAT or Large Loss responses for jobs.
- Assisting with on-call work from time to time, which may include support for PMs, sending food and drinks, arranging temp labour, EQ support or looking for additional staff help.
- Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to assess and improve performance.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility, including monitoring and mitigating unapplied hours and other operational overhead costs.
- Ensure departments are complying with safety regulations and company policies.
- Managing the on-call schedule (i.e., creating schedule, making changes when needed to schedule, contact connections for changes with PM).
- Distribution of vehicles with the Fleet team and overseeing parking tickets for Flood-related employees and managers.
- Being able to analyze our operations to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and strive to consistently adapt and improve our operations.
- Completing and sharing monthly reports for unapplied hours, driving behaviors (tracked by Nero), No Lunch Punch, Fuel consumption, and materials.
- Conduct Monthly PPCR Management. Other ad-hoc meetings may need to be had including meetings with various Flood or Warehouse employees.
- Ensure safety and risk management guidelines are followed on job sites and in the office.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure policies and procedures align with company culture.
- Identify and implement process improvements and provide innovative ideas to enhance operational productivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, with a specialization in either Change Management, Operations, Management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least five years of experience in construction, ideally in restoration or residential building construction. Previous work in management in these fields is considered a strong asset.
