Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics & Recreation, the Athlete Services Coordinator is responsible for the compliance and eligibility of all student-athletes, the day-to-day operations of department functions such as scheduling and travel arrangements, the organization and dissemination of athletic event results, the planning and management of all home athletic events, and media liaison relative to CUE athletics and recreation.

This position requires a keen interest in sport and recreation, as well as knowledge of the local, provincial, and national collegiate sport environment. The coordinator is responsible for raising the profile of team accomplishments, and the distribution of results and all relevant information to the affiliated sport organizations. The coordinator is also responsible for enhancing the student experience on campus through event management, and coordinating and supervising all aspects of such events; consultation for publications, special awards, web site development and maintenance, photograph inventory, and record keeping; and department image and public profile building.

**Responsibilities**:
Athletics
- Complete all tasks related to the registration of rosters, eligibility, and compliance for student-athlete participation within the ACAC and CCAA.
- Coordinate all aspects of athlete and team registrations, and ensure that all schedules, rules, and regulations are clearly communicated to department coaches.
- Responsible for organizing the student-athlete orientation
- Communicate with coaches regarding team travel schedules, arrival and departure times, and modes of transportation.
- Coordinate and book all team travel including accommodations, transportation, and hospitality as needed.
- Prepare a coach’s package outlining all details of each trip, such as transportation and accommodation information (including addresses).
- Serving as a media liaison for the athletics department if and when necessary.
- Creating a working relationship with all coaches working in the department and accommodate all facility and equipment requests as needed.
- Servicing partnership agreements.
- Conducting all sport media relations, sport announcing, and sport reporting of events.
- Collect information and submit nominees for ACAC and CCAA awards. (ie. ACAC Athlete of the Week, CCAA All-Canadians)
- Maintaining all content and information on the gothunder.ca website.
- Manage and maintain the Thunder athletics photo library.
- Keeping and reporting event result statistics and records.
- Assisting in the organization and execution of department, conference, and championship events, including the supervision of the part-time and student employees for the delivery of home events.
- Ensure functional, safe equipment for each user group, event and home game, and ensuring it is retrieved and returned after the event is over.
- Develop and distribute announcement flyers, banners, posters, and notices to advertise events relevant to the Athletics Department and to help create brand recognition.
- Assist in creating brand recognition for the athletics program through social media.
- Fulfilling CUE’s administrative and committee responsibilities to the ACAC and CCAA, as required.
- Representing CUE and its interests at ACAC and CCAA meetings. (ie. ACAC AGM)
- Responsible for the hiring, supervising, and evaluation of all fitness centre staff.

Campus Recreation
- Maintain up to date information regarding Campus Recreation Programming on the GoThunder.ca website
- Promote campus recreation programming on all social media platforms
- Support campus recreation programming as needed.
- Train and support all Fitness Centre Staff
- Coordinate facility bookings

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (eg. sport management, kinesiology, physical education, management).
- A minimum of two (2) years of related administrative sport and recreation experience, preferably in a post-secondary env
