We are currently recruiting a **Group Orientation Coordinator **to support our BC Settlement and Integration Services team. The Group Orientation Coordinator will develop tools and approaches to identify the emerging needs of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the group orientation workshops of the BC Settlement and Integration Programs by coordinating necessary facilities and equipment as well as developing appropriate program content;
- Develop, implement, and facilitate group orientation workshops for Temporary Residents, International Students, Refugee Claimants and Naturalized Citizens on information gathered through collaborating with the BC Settlement Navigators;
- Work with the BC Settlement Navigators to identify emerging settlement, integration and employment needs of clients through a critical assessment and cultural awareness framework;
- Maintain attendance and required records of group orientation workshops on the CRM and an updated schedule to share with the BCSIS team;
- Identify trends of client needs and provide targeted group orientation workshops to address the various life domain needs of clients like accessing housing, healthcare, employment, financial support, immigration pathways, community connections and successful integration into BC systems;
- Collaborate with BC Settlement Navigators, to provide language assistance in workshops when needed;
- Provide support and input for program guidelines and policies, and program standards;
- Represent the organization or program in external meetings/events if needed;
- Share and collect mutually relevant information with internal departments and community partners;
- Performs other duties as required by the Manager.
- Degree or Diploma in related field (human/social service);
- Minimum of two (2) years recent related experience;
- Exceptional written and verbal English language communication skills;
- Second language required. Written and verbal fluency in At least one (1) of the BCSIS Contracted Languages - Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi, at a professional level;
- Experience facilitating workshops for newcomers and vulnerable minority populations;
- Knowledge of anti-oppression frameworks;
- Understanding of the issues newcomers and vulnerable minority populations face pre-migration and during settlement;
- Ability to work successfully and cooperatively on inter-agency project initiatives;
- Demonstrated cultural awareness in working with others;
- Knowledge of the settlement sector and processors;
- Sound knowledge of community resources and ability to network and build partnerships;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
