**A Brief Overview**
Undergraduate Admission and Recruitment (UAR) is the university's central service for the recruitment of undergraduate students. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications in UAR and in collaboration with the Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre, the Indigenous Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing an extensive recruitment program to support the enrolment of Indigenous students into undergraduate programs at Queen's University.
This will include in-person engagement with prospective Indigenous students, families, and communities - at high schools, in-community, and on-campus; representing Queen's at relevant recruitment fairs/events, especially those facilitated by the APSIP collective; connecting with the Indigenous communities on campus and in the broader region; and representing Queen's at in-person and online events and activities both on and off campus to support Indigenous student recruitment for undergraduate programs.
This position advises prospective students who are members of underrepresented communities on matters including admissions, program details, university life, student resources and support, and financial assistance. This position works with students in underrepresented communities to identify and locate resources to support academic needs. This position works collaboratively with faculty and staff to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, events, and services that encourage focused student enrollment and improve student experience. This position plans, develops, implements, and evaluates non-traditional learning activities including placements, community-based projects, 'mini-stream' offerings, exchanges, and other experiential learning opportunities.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work frequent early mornings, evenings and weekends, according to program or area needs.
**What you will do**
Advises prospective students who are members of underrepresented communities on matters including admissions, program details, university life, student resources and support, and financial assistance.
Works with students in underrepresented communities to identify and locate resources to support academic needs.Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, events, and services that encourage focused student enrollment and improve student experience.Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates non-traditional learning activities including placements, community-based projects, ‘mini-stream’ offerings, exchanges, and other experiential learning opportunities.Participates in secondary school recruitment activities, represents the university at special events, and delivers online recruitment programming.Gathers information on student experience, prepares reports and recommendations, and identifies new and/or enhancements to programming.

**Required Education**
- Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.
**Required Experience**
- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Job Knowledge and Requirements**
