Our product has created quite the buzz, so we need to add an **Office Manager** who shares our passion for innovative technology, social impact for good, and the thrill of helping companies grow.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Human Resources Generalist** will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including administering payroll, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and best practices. In addition, you will participate in Health & Safety ensuring corporate responsibility and ministry guidelines are in place and maintained with continued updates and maintaining current ministry guidelines while supporting the Health & Safety team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Training records are adequately maintained.
- Participate in planning corporate events.
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Seek and understand government funding, grants and employment supplemental programs.
- Participate in annual SR & ED funding submission.
- Manage, Balance and file WSIB, EHT and other relevant reporting as required.
- Review, balance and reconcile payroll.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attend and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Lead Health & Safety awareness and compliance initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, management, psychology, Health and Safety or a related field required.
- At least 1 year of human resource management experience preferred.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- understand key HR metrics, such as recruitment, engagement and retention, and employee value and performance.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of ESA, OHSA, and AODA etc. with demonstrated knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations governing employment.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge and familiarity with WSIB regulations and requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Knowledge of Excel is a great advantage.
- Familiarity with ADP an asset.
