Company Description:
The **Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (CWHM)** was formed in 1971 and is a non-profit charitable organization. It has grown into one of the largest flying museums in the world. CWHM’s mandate is to preserve and maintain, in flying condition, a collection of aircraft, which were flown by Canadian and Canadian military services from the beginning of World War II to the present, including other related aviation artifacts and memorabilia of significant historic importance to this period. The museum is a federally registered Canadian Charity. We raise our operating funds from several revenue streams including catering, retail, memberships, flying activities, donations, and fundraising events.

Job Details, Duties and Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot airframes and engines including fuel, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems to help identify problems, adjust and maintain systems according to specifications, manuals and established procedures
- Install and repair aircraft piston engines, propellers and flight controls as well as fuel, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Perform and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as per policy and Transport Canada requirements in accordance with CWHM AMO 61-97
- Actively participate in Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Undertake other roles/duties as may be required/assigned

Qualifications:

- Completion of secondary school is required
- Valid Ontario Full “G” Driver’s License and ability to obtain Canadian Passport
- Piston engine experience required
- Preference will be given to applicants with a college diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational facility, holders of a valid M1/M2 AME License and those with warbird and transport category aircraft experience
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete the company screening process

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mount Hope, ON L0R 1W0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 3 years (required)
