Part Time Accounting Clerk

The part time Accounting clerk would work about 16 hours a week in office as well as providing coverage for vacation absences in all functional areas in our accounting department. Some measure of flexibility will be built into negotiating the hours per week.

While the responsibilities of the position below are applicable to the position, the majority of the weekly responsibilities will be for payroll and expense processing and billings.

The Part Time Accounting Clerk will work and report directly to the CFO.
- **Responsibilities**:_

**Accounts payable**:

- Date stamp and code all vendor invoices
- Distribute all vendor invoices for approval
- Match approvals to originals
- Payable transaction entry as required
- Cheque runs
- Filing of paid invoices
- Credit Card Reconciliations

**Accounts receivable and collections**
- Post cash receipts on a timely basis
- File cheque/EFT stubs

**Customer Billings**
- Monthly progress billings
- Time and material billings
- Filing invoice copies in job files and numerical files

**Payroll**
- Tabulate regular hours, overtime hours, etc based on employees work province
- Data entry of hours to be paid
- Generate eft file to pay employees
- Review, code, and enter employee expense reports
- **Strengths**:_
- An accounting degree or diploma with 2+ years of post designation experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
- A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite with advanced skills in Excel
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Working well under pressure

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
