**Main Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Receivable**

Responsible for
- Act as back up for Accounts Receivable Clerk
- Daily invoicing through customer portals
- Monthly customer statement processing
- Sending notifications of past due accounts
- Contacting customers to facilitate payment schedules
- Resolving outstanding receivable issues and liaising with salesmen regarding same
- Answering customer questions
- Ability to review discrepancies
- Daily posting of received payments
- Processing credit cards
- Payment reconciliation
- Weekly reconciliation of cash received through counter sales

**Accounts Payable**

Responsible for
- Act as backup for Accounts Payable Clerk
- Ensuring invoices are processed in an efficient and timely manner
- Insert appropriate vendor number and General Ledger code onto invoices
- Enter invoices into system with correct vendor name, date, amount, invoice number, and general ledger coding
- Maintenance of petty cash disbursements
- Responsible for processing biweekly payment runs
- Print reports and assemble documents pertaining to payments
- Submit payment run information to management for authorization

**Payroll**

Responsible for full cycle payroll.
- Collect, verify, and input employee information upon hiring.
- Verify hours and last day worked for layoffs and terminations, create ROE, and calculate final payments when required.
- Verify accuracy in timesheets.
- Note and process any payroll adjustments or changes.
- Process bonuses and commissions as required.
- Run payroll accurately and on time through PayWorks.
- Process and submit bi-weekly RSP liability.
- Respond to employee inquiries.
- Process T4 statements at year end.
- Process annual reporting.

**Document Management**

Responsible for scanning and electronically filing documents into the document management system.
- Act as back up for Doc Focus Clerk
- Sort and scan paper documents electronically (remittances, packing slips, purchase orders, kits, etc.)
- Data entry projects as required

**Administrative**

Responsible for ensuring clerical duties are performed in the department.
- Open and distribute mail
- Provide administrative support to Finance staff

**Qualifications**

**Education**
- College Certificate, Diploma, Degree in accounting or similar

**Professional Certifications**
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) - an asset

**Skills & Abilities**
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and guidelines
- Oral and written communication skills with superior telephone skills and professional disposition
- Working knowledge of payroll related legislation and guidelines

**Experience**
- 5 years in accounting at mid-level.
- 3 years of Payroll Administration experience.
