To continue our vision for growth, we’re looking for an **IT Systems Administrators** to join our Corporate team in either our **St. John's, NL or Halifax, NS **location**.**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with various support teams to inform them of issues and/or resolution of server problems.
- Serve as focal point on server outages and server activities to management.
- Build and restore severs as required.
- Design, implement, maintain and test disaster recovery procedures for server rooms as required.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of system administration best practices, technical standards, policies and documentation.
- On call rotation for after hours support.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- At least 7 years of IT related experience in managing and monitoring physical and virtual servers.
- Extensive working knowledge with the following: Microsoft Architecture, APC Data Centre Infrastructure, Dell Compute and Storage, VMware vSphere, Veeam, Manage Engine, SolarWinds, ConnectWise, Windows Server, and Citrix XenApp.
- Office 365 and Azure administration experience.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Problem solving - the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Ability to evaluate information and exercise good judgment in making decisions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge and experience with basic security measures and requirements
- Accomplishment and proficiency in performing all general and detailed responsibilities and duties
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision as needed
- Ability to monitor desktops / Servers and associated network performance.
- Skill growth and knowledge attainment in emerging technologies.

**Education and Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical training or education. Professional vendor specific certification and extensive experience in Microsoft and VMware may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Microsoft certifications required.
