Key Responsibilities:
1. Warm Greetings and Registration:

- Welcome patients and visitors with genuine warmth and professionalism.
- Efficiently register new patients, update existing records, and verify insurance coverage.
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide necessary guidance.

2. Streamlined Appointment Scheduling and Coordination:

- Utilize our advanced appointment system to schedule patient visits, optimizing provider availability.
- Coordinate and reschedule appointments as needed, ensuring accurate maintenance of the appointment calendar.
- Clearly communicate appointment details, including date, time, location, and any necessary instructions.

3. Exceptional Patient Communication and Customer Service:

- Answer incoming calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate department.
- Respond to patient questions, concerns, and requests promptly, ensuring thorough follow-up.
- Embody empathy, patience, and professionalism to provide outstanding customer service.

4. Efficient Administrative Support:

- Maintain and update patient records meticulously, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Collect and process patient payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances with precision.
- Manage electronic and paper-based medical documentation, including scanning, filing, and organization.

5. Seamless Office Coordination:

- Collaborate with healthcare staff, including physicians, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Assist in managing office supplies, equipment, and inventory for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area and waiting room.

6. Compliance and Confidentiality Champions:

- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, especially HIPAA, to safeguard patient privacy and data security.
- Demonstrate utmost professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare administration education or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic health records (EHR), and scheduling software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is desirable.
- Professionalism, compassion, and a patient-centered approach are paramount.

**Salary**: $15.25-$18.00 per hour
