The Finance Intern will gain valuable insights to financial and operational results and their relationships with key drivers and performance metrics of the business and mining industry, while gaining invaluable exposures to cross functional, global operational, and other senior management and leaders of the company.

**Responsibilities**:
The Finance Intern will assist the Finance Transformation and Financial Reporting functions of the Kinross Finance department:

- Support the Finance Systems Transformation Project (FSTP) on various project tasks in the build and deliver project phases
- Perform data validation and system testing for the FSTP
- Assistance with the quarter-end and year-end close process
- Participation in the external financial reporting process
- Assist in the preparation of other corporate financial reporting and/or disclosures including the Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) reports, Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility reports, Annual Information Form and Management Information Circular
- Analysis of financial information
- Assistance with other ad-hoc requests and analysis

**Education and Experience**:

- 2nd or 3rd year Business - Accounting/Finance (or related) program from a recognized educational institution with an excellent academic record

**Skills**:

- Proven attention to detail
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Flexibility to undertake various tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Spanish, French, or Portuguese language abilities would also be an asset
