Electrical Technician

**Responsibilities**:
- Provides electrical/mechanical support to all departments within the facility
- Assist in the installation of any new equipment in the facility
- Understand and practice proactive maintenance and contribute to correcting problems before they become downtime issues
- Ensure equipment is operating, designed, and installed to required GMP standards
- Troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical breakdown in the production process to ensure mínimal loss in the manufacturing of our products
- Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance
- Ensure a safe work environment through effective maintenance of equipment. Ensure the facility meets all required electrical codes
- Understands the electrical systems of our facilities processing and packaging equipment and is able to maintain it
- Use SAP system for work capture, parts, sign out, parts lookup, confirming the time
- Provide accurate shift reports detailing parts used, downtime, and Root cause analyses
- Assist in the ordering of electrical components and maintaining the inventory of critical electrical parts
- Perform all other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of PLC's (AB/Siemens) Programming, data collection, and troubleshooting of PLCs.
- Certificate of Qualification from the Ministry of Education, Ontario, Industrial Electrician 442A or Construction and Maintenance Electrician 309A required.
- A certificate in Programmable Logic Control is required.
- Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity - detail-oriented
- Certificate in Programmable Logic Control an asset
- Tenacious, excellent communication and organizational skills
