What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform operational problem solving and identify/implement continuous improvements to the process.- Provide technical support to employees, processes, products, and equipment within the division on a day-to-day basis.- Ensure effective communication with Supervisors and Technical Team Members, including “hand-offs” between shifts.- Participate in continuous improvement team meetings to address quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety issues.- Assist in the training and development of new Manufacturing Technician team members.- Adhere to Johnson Electric’s policies and procedures, including Safety and Environmental policies.- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ontario Trade Certificate as a Tool & Die Maker with at least three years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility.- Experience with powder metal tooling preferred.- Reliable, mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization.- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.- Experience with specific software, tools, or methodologies related to tool & die making.
