Overview:
Bennett’s is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This is a critical role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining employee satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages.
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
**Duties**:
- preparation and processing of bi-weekly and monthly payroll for hourly, salaried and commissioned employees.
- Maintain accurate and current employee data in the payroll system, including inputting new hires, vacation & sick time tracking, managing wage adjustments, handling terminations, and submitting Records of Employment (ROE).
- Address and investigate inquiries and discrepancies related to payroll and time and attendance.
- Handle year-end reconciliation for payroll and create necessary reports such as T4, T4A's.
- Provide training and support to Supervisors and Managers on timesheet approval
- WSIB reporting and tracking
- Complete calculations of monthly journal entry for accounting
- Maintenance of company benefit plan
- Coordinate with HR Department when required.
- Stay up-to-date with federal & provincial payroll regulations and ensure compliance
- Prepare hire packages as needed
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Proficiency with computer skills
Part-time, Monday - Friday, 24-30 hours, days and time can be negotiated (i.e. 3- 8 hours days or 5- 5 hour days)
Wages - $22 -$30 per hour
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
