HR Administrator, Vancouver (12 Month Contract)_

We are currently seeking a Vancouver-based HR professional. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Administrator is responsible for providing full HR administration service to DNEG’s Vancouver and Los Angeles employees, the HR department and other internal and external stakeholders, acting as a first point of contact for all HR enquiries.

**Key Responsibilities / Job Duties**
- Drive our mission and culture through DNEG's core values
- Provide administrative support for the HR department
- Organize, compile, and update company personnel records and documentation
- Prepare, and update HR policies, procedures, HR manual, checklists, assigned trackers and databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, vacation and days off, etc.
- Maintain schedule and proactively coordinate calendar activities
- Prepare various reports on employee-related data to assist with the management and development of staff.
- Administrate starter / leaver processes including all documentation, induction and exit processes
- Ensure all new starter paperwork is completed and relevant information provided to Payroll and benefits providers for processing
- Respond to general queries from managers and employees, directing them to the appropriate policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to line managers in HR processes
- Prepare, administrate and distribute survey’s (ie. on-boarding)
- Complete full cycle process for New Hire / Rehire Contracts
- Maintain accurate data and update employee records in Workday
- Provide HRIS Project support
- Prepare Employment Verification Letters as requested
- Draft and distribute internal communications as assigned
- Administrate benefits (LA only)
- Lead, participate and complete HR related programs as assigned (ie.Buddy Program, HRIS)
- Partner with local and global HR team members and departments
- Provide backup support to the HR Coordinator
- Maintain own continuing professional development, keeping up to date with legal requirements and relevant HR developments
- Adhere to Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy at all times
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned and within the scope of the HR Roles & Responsibilities matrix

**Job Requirements / Must Haves**
- 6-12 months of HR or equivalent administrative/assistant working experience
- Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Human Resources, Management or equivalent
- BC Employment law understanding; experience of US and California employment matters is an asset
- Passion for learning and continuous improvement
- Customer centric
- Proactive with “can do” attitude
- Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment
- Passion for organizing, multi-tasking and making things happen
- Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
- Proficient with computer software including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc) and HRIS/Workday
- Proven and strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables
- Excellent writing skills
- Team oriented, highly motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to see the bigger picture
