**About the role**:
Eos Lightmedia is looking for a dynamic HR Administrator to join their team in Vancouver. This hybrid position will work with the HR Consultant to ensure day-to-day administrative operations for human resources are managed effectively to support the organization’s growing team. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks, manage all employee documentation, support hiring efforts and lead the new employee onboarding process. This role is responsible for drafting all employee contracts, handling benefits administration and working with payroll to ensure everyone’s time, attendance and vacation are up to date. As the first point of contact for employee questions, you will work with all levels of the organization in both Canada and the USA. Eos Lightmedia has a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline and this role will provide lots of opportunities for learning and growth
**In a typical day you might be**:
- Drafting employment contracts
- Updating job descriptions
- Creating job postings, and assisting with recruitment
- Benefits administration
- Creating onboarding and orientation materials and leading the onboarding of new employees
- The main point of contact for employee questions.
- Managing vacation and leave requests
- Updating workers compensation and ensuring all of our employees and contractors are covered across various job sites
- Assisting with payroll and manages timesheets
**Your skills and abilities**:
- You are a highly motivated individual with a proven ability to work within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. You have a great sense of humour and don’t take yourself too seriously.
- You have a degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Three (3) plus years in administration with one (1) year HR experience. This role is ideal for someone working to complete an HR diploma or degree
- Strong understanding of employment standards
- Understanding or familiarity with US employment standards and benefits administration an asset
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality in all areas and manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism an diplomacy
- Good knowledge of social networking platforms, online communications, and other sourcing channels for recruitment
- Solid analytical skills with ability to identify the root cause of administrative problems and take action to resolve
- Excellent attention to detail with experience in data entry
- Experience in payroll and time tracking an asset
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization and with vendors and suppliers
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to timely communication
- Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal communications skills
- You love people and have a demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service
- Ability to function well in a high-paced, creative and at times stressful environment
