**HR Administrator**

During these passenger operations we ensure continuous guest satisfaction and peace of mind for our cruise line clients. Our experienced shoreside team prides itself on the ability to adjust to daily challenges with passion and dedication to meet the highest standard of service.

**Job Summary**

Recruiting, hiring, and scheduling new employees. Maintaining DNA staffing levels and providing HR support to all employees during the Cruise season. Approximate Seasonal work from Jan-Mar (part time) April to October (full time)

**Duties would include but are not limited to**:
**Pre-Season**:

- Contacting returning staff for the new cruise season and send / collect hiring packages
- Update and distribute DNA staff manual and training correspondence
- Actively recruiting and hiring during the season to ensure there is always a full complement of staff
- Interviewing (in person and over the phone)
- Creating and maintaining the master staff schedule (approx. 300 part time staff)
- Organizing daily staff lists for ship days
- Staffing support for Pier Supervisors (absentees and replacements)
- Monitors attendances and tardiness of the employees
- Be able to communicate with employees in a respectful, diplomatic, and tactful manner regarding performance and attire
- Communicate with the payroll team of new hires, terminations
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Monthly meetings with HR Coordinators and Pier Supervisors to discussing staffing and any personnel issues

**End of Season Close**: Collect and inventory Port Passes, Uniforms, nametags - Review and file employee personnel files

**Education/Work Experience/Skills required**
- Experience in Human Resources and Administrative duties and is an asset
- Excellent computer skills including a high degree of proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, cloud base program,
- The ability to work under pressure, to multi -task and work independently with mínimal direction
- Quick thinker and be able to adapt to any changes at any time
- Must possess excellent English writing and verbal communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC
