Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Vehicle Protection Products and Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) to support our Dealer Standards and Sales department. This is a full-time position overseeing a team of four - two directly managed and two indirectly supervised. Reporting to the National Manager, Dealer Standards and Sales Operations, this individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing TCI’s value chain by increasing customer retention and profitability through numerous effective programs and products.

**What You’ll be Doing**:
- Program and Product Management _
- Ensure that all aspects of the Extra Care Protection (ECP) program operate smoothly and efficiently; this includes but is not limited to planning, setting targets, budgeting, legal review, marketing, training, and managing special requests
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and skills necessary to achieve TC’s ECP objectives to all Zones, Lexus and Dealers
- Maintain high satisfaction rates and the retention of active ECP customers
- Support daily operations managing the roadside assistance program through planning, vendor management and customer case escalation
- Strategically develop, propose and launch new Business Office & Value Chain Products
- Lead the Business Office Product Sounding Board (Dealer Committee) to gain feedback and alignment from Dealers on current and potential future products
- Create and update all marketing material to ensure dealers and customers have current material to help promote the sale of Business Office Products
- Generate innovative project or product ideas and secure alignment and approval from senior management
- Manage Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) program through effective budget management, training, marketing, performance tracking, and responding to special requests; focus on optimizing the program to bring more value to customers, dealers and TCI
- People Management _
- Align team goals with TCI vision & hoshin priorities, establish checkpoints to support progress toward deadlines, coach team members on revising/pivoting to drive successful project completion
- Drive learning & development through timely, candid guidance/feedback, seek opportunities for project work that align with team member growth opportunities and career goals
- Communicate and prioritize project/task responsibilities of direct reports, provide guidance, feedback, and accountability for individual performance
- Communicate corporate messages providing appropriate context in a timely manner
- Initiate and implement appropriate Kaizen efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies

- Lock in and measure incremental success through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Standardize and share successes across the team or organization through 'yokoten' (shares best practices)
- Maximize dealer participation in TCI programs
**What You’ll Bring**:
- University degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. business, operations, automotive)
- 7 years of experience within the automotive industry; specifically working in a retail, manufacturing or product protection space
- Previous experience working in a field role with automotive dealers is an asset
- Prior people management or leadership experience is a strong asset
- Experience planning and managing a large budget
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
- Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- Proven analytical skills and ability to produce results; strong organizational skills
- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas with a customer centric focus
- Strong leadership skills; proven ability to coach and mentor others
- Ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
