The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist the Dr. John Archer Library and Archives in the area(s) of University Archives and collection processing.

**Areas of Responsibility and Typical Duties**:

- Archival collection preparation work for processing, including re-housing, scanning/copying, re-boxing and the creation of basic inventory lists;
- Moving of boxes and material in and between storage spaces

Position Requirements
- Excellent oral and written English language abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the Library and Archives’ clients
- Experience in working with Windows operating system and ability to learn new software
- Experience in working with MSOffice suite of products such as Word and Excel
- Ability to function effectively as a team member
- Previous experience working in a library or archives environment would be an asset

Physical Demands

May be required to lift items up to 50 lbs

Pay Grade CUPE Phase 1 Salary Range $15.98 per hour Status Term Work Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm; dependent on student availability
