Join our team as **Graduate Student Services **at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research

In this essential role, you will provide a broad range of administrative and front-line services to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring that our students receive the guidance and support they need from admission through to graduation.

**What You’ll Do**:
**Provide Administrative Support**:

- Serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders in FGSR, providing accurate information on academic program requirements, registration procedures, and university policies.
- Support the Associate Dean and Executive Assistant to the Dean with clerical tasks relating to academic integrity, including managing communication, scheduling, and document preparation.
- Assist with the preparation and management of student-related forms, ensuring timely and accurate processing in compliance with university regulations.
- Assist in the development and revision of materials, forms, and information to effectively deliver FGSR policies and procedures.
- Help train, supervise, and mentor student assistants and staff who assist FGSR, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide exceptional service.

**Operations Management**:

- Help manage FGSR’s operations, including overseeing technology resources such as laptops and iPads, and assisting students with online services.
- Handle requests for official documentation, such as enrollment verification and graduation confirmations, ensuring compliance with university and external regulations.
- Assist in maintaining and managing the archival and shredding processes for graduate student files, ensuring adherence to retention policies.

Position Requirements

**What You Will Bring to the Position**:

- Grade 12, supplemented by a recognized business course. Post-secondary education is an asset.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a related university role
- Combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with university databases such as Banner and CASPUR.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-functioning, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and discretion.

Physical Demands Pay Grade CUPE Phase 4 Salary Range $43,388.80 to $58,604.00 Status Term Work Hours

8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
