**Job Overview**:
HCA Dance + Theatre is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to join our team as **Special Event Support**. In this role, you will assist in planning and coordinating the Dances at the Bay Festival (formerly Dusk Dances Hamilton), providing essential administrative and event support while ensuring smooth operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong communication skills who thrives working both independently and collaboratively. Experience in event planning is appreciated but not required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Volunteer Coordination**: Organize, schedule, and manage volunteers for the Dances at the Bay Festival. Ensure adequate staffing, provide training, and maintain positive relationships.
- **Event Support**: Aid in the execution of all festival events by overseeing logistics, managing resources, and addressing on-site needs. Serve as a point of contact for vendors, performers, and attendees.
- **Administrative Assistance**: Assist with documentation, data management, and other administrative tasks to ensure seamless event operations.
- **Planning and Organization**: Collaborate with the artistic team to plan event details, timelines, and contingencies. Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance festival quality and attendee experience.
- **Onsite Management**: Be present at the festival on July 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st to oversee setup, operations, and breakdown.
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
