Blue Mountains, Canada The Osler Bluff Ski Club Full time

The Terrain Park Attendant is responsible for safely opening/closing, maintaining, signing, monitoring, marking and operating the Club’s terrain park and half pipe facilities. Responsible for ensuring members and their guests adhere to the Club’s skiing/boarding policies, Terrain Park Code of Conduct and the Alpine Responsibility Code.

Start date of this role is dependent on Club opening and weather.

**RESPONSBILITIES**:

- Set up entrance gate, fencing and signage
- Inspect and adjust fence and tape barriers which border the park
- All features to be marked with bamboo, Smart Style size rating, drilled in and set in a vertical fashion.
- Each feature with bamboo is to have at least one orange caution sign, and be set at a height of approx. 4 ft.
- All features to be marked with blue chalk or some other form of snow die. Features to be clearly visible in flat light or snowy days.
- Fresh snow and soft conditions to be raked and restored back to original condition.
- If features are snow covered, they must be raked once the bamboos are set, boxes, rails, and jibs are brushed off and the signage is in place.
- All boxes and rails to be checked for burrs and any other form of deformities. If any imperfections are found, the feature is to be marked as closed until corrected.
- All features to be marked closed until tested, properly marked, and signed.
- Once Terrain Park is open, daily checks must be documented.
- Loops of the park to be performed on a regular basis.
- One attendant shall remain on duty at the Park Gate at all times.
- All features to be raked and groomed to their original state.
- **QUALIFICAITONS**:

- Be able to work in various/changing weather conditions.
- Experience riding/skiing in a Park would be an asset.
- Maintain a friendly, polite and cooperative relationship with members, guests and other Club staff.
- Perform all tasks safely in accordance with the Club’s health & safety policies and abide by Club policies and procedures at all times.
- Deliver and maintain records for park orientation sessions, held twice daily
- Be a team player and follow instructions correctly and accurately. Work well un-supervised and complete tasks from start to finish within deadline.
- Keep tools in proper location.
- Carry out all responsibilities with highest level of professionalism.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE’s) when required.
- Always be aware of the safety of members, guests and other employees.
- Strong team player with an orientation to take initiative. Flexible, adaptive and ability to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
- Ability to work in an environment where unanticipated changes in demands often necessitate a change in priorities.
- Strong judgment, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Possess excellent verbal and written skills.
- Possess professional maturity, sensitivity and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Club’s core values

**HOURS**: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm - Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

7:30 am to 4:00 pm - Midweek operating days.

**Salary**: $18.50-$19.50 per hour
