Freestyle Terrain Team Leader

The Freestyle Terrain Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day documentation, management, maintenance, construction, monitoring and park pass safety program of all resort freestyle terrain. The Terrain Park Team Leader will follow all direction and duties assigned by the Director of Outside Operations in respect to all aspects of the Freestyle Terrain requirements, including times scheduled for breaks and lunch times. Freestyle terrain includes, variable terrain features, freestyle terrain & terrain park(s

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
1. To build and finish various terrain features to specific specifications within the guidelines of the Georgian Peaks Club Management, operations team and Snowboard & Freestyle Director

2. Ensure monitoring and enforcement of Park Pass Safety Awareness program is in place for all participants, including employees

3. Ensure monitoring and enforcement of helmet use is in place for all participants, including employees

4. Performs continuous maintenance on snow features and rails/boxes for each of the resort’s freestyle terrain areas

5. Works closely with the Area Manager, Ski Patrol Director & Freestyle Director

6. Monitoring and fixing any and all equipment & features

7. Assist in organizing and executing events and competitions taking place in terrain park

8. Making safety the number one priority — making sure that everyone is conducting themselves appropriately in the workplace and educating the members, guests and employees in the park

9. Guest relations and assisting ski patrol in accident situations

10. Maintaining a clean and organized site at all times

11. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times

12. Daily upkeep of all fences, signage, hit markers, jumps, rails and everything that falls into the freestyle terrain boundaries

Other duties will be assigned as needed

**Qualifications**:
Ability and necessary experience to construct and maintain various terrain features made of snow to meet the needs at The Georgian Peaks Club

The ability to be outside no matter what the weather conditions are —rain, snow, wind, cold

Work closely with Freestyle Director and Area Manager in order to perform required tasks

Good interpersonal skills, team environment skills and ability to follow instruction in a positive manner.

Good people management skills are an asset. Keeping everyone happy is key

Communication skills, with team, team leaders and superiors

Guest service knowledge and skills to communicate with Club members & guests on a professional level.

Expert to advanced skiing / snowboarding skills.

Familiarity with electronic mobile devices.

Able to follow directions and instructions

Be safety conscious at all times

Team player attitude

Creative and innovative nature

Must be able to work weekends and holidays during ski season

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $22.50-$27.00 per hour
