Total Fund Investing (TFI) is the division of the Total Fund Investment Strategy (TFIS) department that articulates and drives AIMCo’s total portfolio investment strategy, execution, and management. We are responsible for top-of-the-house cross-asset analysis and strategy. We leverage both internal and external macroeconomic and financial market expertise to optimize long-term portfolio objectives, policies and processes, and to facilitate top-down dynamic and tactical asset allocation decisions with our Executive Investment Office (EIO).

We also research and develop investment overlay strategies, including tail hedging solutions, in addition to being in charge of rebalancing and other portfolio management activities for our Clients. Coordination and management of liquidity, including ensuring availability of funding for investment deals, is another critical role of TFI. As AIMCo embarks on the execution of our new investment strategy, TFI will play a central role in delivering total portfolio management solutions for our Clients.

- Learning from and collaborating with your team to contribute to all aspects of managing the total portfolio for our Clients
- Working closely with your mentor to help you develop your professional and organizational skills within a collaborative and high-impact team
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies in Business or Quantitative programs (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Proficiency with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, SQL) is preferred
- Keen interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, investment strategy, and portfolio construction; as well as sound knowledge of finance, statistics, and risk concepts

- Positive disposition, initiative and ingenuity, and an enthusiasm to learn and share knowledge
- Exceptional research and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo's core values of Excellence, Transparency, Humility, Integrity and Collaboration; and inspires the same in others

Success:
By the end of your term, you will have applied your high-quality research and ideas, and creative and effective solutions to new market and portfolio challenges. You will have displayed and presented well-articulated work and built strong connections with the team and broader AIMCo community through consistent positive interactions.
