Private Investment Operations (PIO) is responsible for the settlement of capital funding and distribution transactions, quarterly market value update, monthly reporting, and preparation of IFRS financial statements for private investments including private equity, infrastructure, renewable resources, and hedge funds.

The Private Credit Operations (PCO) is responsible for the settlement of investment funding and distribution transactions, daily and weekly balance reconciliation, quarterly market value update, monthly reporting, and preparation of IFRS financial statements for private debt and mortgage portfolios.

**Responsibilities**
- Processing invoices and assisting in the settlement of investment transactions
- Performing bank and various investment reconciliations and ad-hoc accounting or operation tasks
- Update the market value of fund investments in SimCorp Dimension on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Assisting in the execution of projects under the direction of senior team members
- Assisting in developing accounting procedures and establishing standard operating procedures for financial reporting of property activities
- Maintaining the filing system and supporting the PIO and PCO teams as required
- Completion of third year undergraduate studies in accounting, finance or business
- Exceptional attention to details and an ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Quick and adaptable learner
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Previous bookkeeping and/or accounting experience is an asset
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles, including International Financial Reporting Standards and Canadian GAAP (ASPE) are an asset
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, prepare financial reports, draw conclusions, and make recommendations based on information presented
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity, and collaboration, and inspires the same in others

**Success Measures**
If you are a success-motivated student, you will be able to reflect on your time on the PIO and PCO teams and be proud of how much you learned and grew as an aspiring professional. You will deliver near error-free reports and develop a reasonable understanding of complex accounting procedures. You will learn about problem solving and be expected try to solve your own issues before seeking guidance from your team members.
