**ABOUT CHILD DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE**
Child Development Institute (CDI) is a leading children’s mental health agency in the City of Toronto offering a range of services to approximately 3,000 children ages 0‐12, youth ages 13-18 and their families each year. Our mission is to promote and support the healthy development of children and to strengthen the families and communities in which they live. We provide four streams of service to families in need: early intervention, family violence, healthy child development and specialized mental health services for children and youth with learning disabilities.

CDI is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Coordinator, SNAP West reporting to the Senior Manager, Early
Intervention Services SNAP Program. The incumbent will ensure that the conceptualization and delivery of CDI programs and services are consistent with the mission, values, policies, procedures, standards and priorities of the organization and are provided within assigned resources. The Coordinator, SNAP West provides vigorous leadership towards the achievement of service excellence and a quality professional environment. Within CDI, the Coordinator participates in the Clinical Managers and Coordinators Group as required to manage operational issues as well as participating in strategic vision and directions activities for the agency.
The Coordinator, SNAP West ensures that CDI is well represented and appropriately positioned within the professional community by assuming leadership roles and forging effective partnerships that result in identified objectives. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Early Intervention Services SNAP Program, the Coordinator,
SNAP West is responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to the planning and delivery of SNAP Group Program components.

1. Accepts and works within the framework of the Institute’s stated vision, mission, values, and goals.
2. Recruits, orients, trains, supervises, schedules, and evaluates SNAP clinical casual and contract staff and, volunteers (i.e., Camp Wimodausis staff, Casual Relief SNAP Group Facilitators, SNAP Activity Group staff, volunteers)

3. Assumes role of Camp Wimodausis Coordinator through May-August
4. Plans, organizes, and leads SNAP Girls LIT/YLS groups Sept-June
5. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of job (written/verbal/implied)
6. Leads and models in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with families and their support network (community agencies, hospitals, etc.)
7. Works flexible hours related to the needs of the program (i.e., a minimum of 2 evenings a week when required)
8. Is available by phone during program delivery, as required.
9. Participates in program development, quality assurance, evaluation, data collection and research activities.
10. Under the direction of the SNAP Senior Manager, SNAP West, participates in training and consultation with external sites as required.
11. Completes program documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures (i.e., documentation pertaining to SGYLS, Activity Group, Camp Wimodausis [including Skill Builders, Camper Reports, Program
Reports, etc.], Incident Reports. etc.)

12. Monitors, purchases, and distributes the supplies inventory (e.g., group snacks, client incentives, program supplies) collaboratively with the Supervisor, SNAP West to ensure budget management

13. Ensure a healthy and safe workplace for staff in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
14. Participates in the Clinical Managers & Coordinators group as well as selected committees as require.
15. Keeps the SNAP Senior Manager apprised of any relevant service delivery, clinical or emerging issues.
16. Performs other assigned duties in the interests of the agency.

**What we hope you will bring **
▪ A CYW/CYC diploma or degree from an accredited post secondary institution
▪ A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children, youth, families, and groups in a therapeutic setting preferably in the field of children’s mental health
▪ Leadership experience (i.e., having been in a lead, supervisor, coordinator, or manager role) is an asset.
