**Position Title**: Administrative Assistant/Medical Office Assistant: Brick House Recovery Centre
**Location**: Downtown, Edmonton
**Employment Type**: Full-Time

The Brick House specialize in evidence-based practices including detox, intensive outpatient programming, aftercare and return to employment supports. **Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Client Reception**: Greet clients and visitors with professionalism and kindness, ensuring they feel welcome and supported.
- **Appointment Scheduling**: Manage client appointment bookings, cancellations, and reminders to ensure an efficient workflow.
- **Medical Records Management**: Maintain confidential client records, ensuring that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and filed according to legal and organizational standards.
- **Billing and Invoicing**: Assist with billing, insurance claims, and payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- **Coordination with Staff**: Communicate with physicians, nurses, counselors, and administrative staff to coordinate schedules, relay information, and manage client flow.
- **Supply Management**: Order and maintain office and medical supplies, ensuring the center is stocked with necessary materials.
- **Privacy& Compliance**: Ensure all administrative procedures comply with relevant healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
- **General Office Maintenance**: Maintain a clean and organized reception and office space.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or certification as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) or related qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, ideally in a healthcare or addiction treatment setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and electronic health records systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
