**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a **_Service Writer_** to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations in our service department. The Service Writer will act as a liaison between customers and our service technicians, providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate records.**Key Responsibilities**:

Customer Interaction**:

- Greet and assist customers when they arrive for service.
- Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle issues, and provide clear explanations of the service process.
- Provide estimated service costs and obtain customer approval.
- ** Service Scheduling**:

- Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Maintain a well-organized service appointment calendar.
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize work orders.
- ** Service Documentation**:

- Create and maintain accurate service orders and repair estimates.
- Document service recommendations and obtain customer approvals.
- Ensure all paperwork is complete and organized by efficient service execution.
- ** Communication & Follow-Ups**:

- Keep customers informed of the status of their service and any changes in the estimated completion time.
- Communicate with customers about additional service recommendations.
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction.
- ** Technical Knowledge**:

- Develop a basic understanding of automotive terminology and repair processes.
- Collaborate with service technicians to accurately relay technical information to customers.

**Desired Qualifications & Traits**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a customer service or service writer role is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using service scheduling and management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
