**Job Title: Parts Technician/Service Writer - Saskatoon, SK**

We are looking for a full-time Parts Technician/Service Writer to join our team in Saskatoon, SK.

This position is perfect for a responsible, highly driven, and professional person who has both parts experience and has worked in a capacity as a service adviser scheduling technician’s work. **Responsibilities**:

- Field customer calls as the initial point of contact for customers.
- Establish and sustain customer relationships by ethically and professionally representing Westvac Industrial Ltd.
- Scheduling service appointments and dispatching technicians. Coordinating with the technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensuring technicians are job-ready with the necessary parts for the repair, service, inspection, or install.
- Maintain customer profiles and contact information.
- Process internal/back counter workorders and issue or distribute parts, accessories, and supplies for internal usage.
- Advise retail customers or internal users on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested.
- Prepare and ship external and internal orders received from other branches.
- Receive and sort incoming parts, accessories and supplies, and participate in inventory counts, at least annually.
- Effectively source the best quality items available for the most reasonable cost.
- Order and store items in an organized and accessible manner.
- Process workorders and maintain quantities, varieties, and locations of parts, accessories, and available supplies through our operating system: Intellidealer/CDK.
- Maintain a schedule
- Invoicing customers upon repair/work completion.
- Processing customer payments and explaining invoiced charges.
- Performing follow up calls with the customer after the service has been completed.
- Processing warranty claims w/manufacturer.
- Maintaining and tracking a schedule of lift inspections in CDK, and contacting customers for their annual inspections.
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.

**Requirements & Skills**:

- Previous experience as a Service Writer, or in a similar role.
- A journeyman certification, or prior experience as a parts technician.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong record-keeping skills.
- Mechanical knowledge or previous industrial equipment, or related service /parts experience.
- Valid drivers’ license.
- Previous experience or certification in forklift operation.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

**Related Physical & Safety Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment components, parts, and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. Push /pull up to 300 lbs.
- Bending, climbing stairs, and stepladders intermittently, and standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
- Comfortable performing some outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Proficient with equipment operation, and various tools.
- Use of Electronic Logging Device (ELD) is mandatory.
- Adherence to safety policies, training procedures, and PPE requirements associated with the role.

**Employment Type & Compensation**:

- $25.00 - $31.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)
