**Goal of Position**: Ensure the Barrie Food Bank has sufficient funds to deliver programs and run operations and as set out in the annual budget process.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Develops an Annual Fundraising Plan,

Actively works to establish and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate donors, and other key community members,

Develops and manages fundraising events,

Develops a donor relationship management plan to grow donations:

- implementation of new Donor Management Platform(Cloud Stack), segmentation of donor base, development of strategies by segment,
- grows securities, legacy gifts, major gifts, gifts-in-kind,
- develops and implements a donor recognition program,
- develops donor communications,

Manages fundraising campaigns (e.g., Spring, Thanksgiving and Christmas),

Prepares an annual Impact Report and other communication tools for use at events and with donors/potential donors,

Participates in Community Outreach and Engagement Activities - offsite fundraisers (e.g., ballgames, Santa Clause parade, CP Holiday Train, etc.),

Community Engagement - identifies and develops inspiring engagement opportunities for donors to strengthen donor relationships (e.g. food sorts, preparing emergency bags),

Accountable for maintaining donor privacy and ensuring Barrie Food Bank adheres to our privacy policy,

Ensures all Food Banks Canada standards related to Donor Relations are met, associated policies are followed, and documentation maintained,

Manage direct mail; conceptualize, write, and design direct mail pieces and test different list segmentation options and personalization to optimize conversion rates,

Analyze data and identify trends and opportunities to grow donations,

Coordinate in-kind donations with other staff, including products to meet inventory needs, and recognize donors,

Manage and update the donor section of Barrie Food Bank website,

Assists Executive Director with building and maintaining relationships with service clubs, chamber of commerce, local politicians, etc.

Supports the Executive Director with maintaining compliance with the Food Banks Canada National Standards Initiative. Manages a calendar of required board approvals, and operational and HR activities where Standards documentation must be maintained,

Back up for Financial Manager (key processes) - journal entries, deposits, payroll, bill payments,

Other duties as assigned.

**Key Qualifications**
- Relationship management skills and an understanding of donor and member stewardship, database administration, campaigning fundraising, event management,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English,
- Must be extremely well‑organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, and work independently, and as part of a team,
- Well developed relationship building and inter‑personal skills,
- Understanding of Canadian Revenue Agency guides for charities,
- Understanding of Canada’s Anti Spam Law, privacy protection laws,
- Experience in knowledge translation from legal or other specialized fields into writing for a general audience an asset,
- Experience managing projects, budgets, and volunteers an asset,
- Diplomacy, integrity, and commitment; experience managing confidential and/or personal information,
- Flexibility to attend evening and weekend events on occasion,
- Valid driver’s licence
- CFRE certification an asset.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$67,500.00 per year
