**Marketing Coordinator**

**Purpose** The Marketing Coordinator will promote the enhancement of Sage Haven Society’s programs and services. Some marketing goals will include maintaining Sage Haven’s brand integrity and strategically positioning the Agency as a trusted resource for services and programs while establishing our status as a charity of choice in the Port Alberni region.

**Site**: Sage Haven Administration Office (hybrid a possibility)
3082 3rd Avenue, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 2A5

**Hours**:30 hours per week. May require some weekend and evening work.

**Contract**: 1-year contract with possibility to renew

**Key duties and Responsibilities**:
1. In consultation with the Executive Director or designate, research new marketing programs, including social media marketing, events, advertisement and other marketing and communications initiatives.

2. Collects marketing research and prepares information for use at management meetings.
3. Reviews and summarizes reports and documents and prepares background documents for Executive Director as necessary.
4. In consultation with Executive Director or designate, explores new social enterprise revenue streams and other new opportunities.
5. In consultation with Executive Director or designate reviews; services, programs and offerings for brand identity and ongoing brand management.
6. Create proofs of marketing materials for approval which create a cohesive image and message for print and offline communication vehicles.
7. Work with creative contractors and other department leaders to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages.
8. In consultation with Executive Director or designate, draft marketing plans for approval within budget requirements.
9. Collaborate with all teams to identify internal and external promotional needs.
10. Research, evaluate and report on similar non-profit activities in the community.
11. Review the success of various communication strategies and report findings to the ED.
12. Analyze potential new products/media to enhance the marketing/communications work of Sage Haven.
13. Maintain all online communication vehicles.
14. Set an annual calendar of marketing and communications activity for the agency to accomplish its goals.
15. Proficient in the use of digital marketing software such as Adobe Photoshop and

Illustrator.
16. Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:Business, Marketing or Communications Diploma

Two (2) years of recent related work experience

**Salary**:HSA union Grid 11 ($26.74 - $30.69/hr.) (pending JJEP classification approval)
This position requires Union Membership

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $26.74-$30.69 per hour
