**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Local Finance Representative to work Monday - Friday. We offer a competitive wage, based on experience.

**THE LOCATION - Duncan**

Duncan is the commercial centre of the Cowichan Region with a growing population where young and old are looking for an outdoor lifestyle and home affordability. This region is seeing substantial growth in housing and multi unit dwellings. Surrounded by beautiful nature landscapes, you will find one of our smallest locations, just 5 minutes north of downtown Duncan on the Trans Canada Highway. **THE RESPONSIBILITIES**

Including but not limited to the following:

- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
- Cash reconciliation:

- POS and wireless Moneris reconciliation
- Moneris:

- Manual posting and matching of cash account payments
- Troubleshooting issues with Moneris terminals
- Processing account payments
- Daily bank deposits
- Time Force administration
- Including daily review of Time Force, Early Riser Report and drafting documents for Managers
- Branch level recruitment; including but not limited to pre-screening interviews, reference checks, and interview set up
- First day onboarding with all new hires:

- Provide a warm welcome and a great first impression
- Review new hire package, review employee handbook and staff policies and setting up new hire training on GMS University
- Update employee communication board
- Planning of store events (meetings, BBQ’s, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by management

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- One year or more experience in an administrative environment
- Ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent situations
- Excellent computer and business organization software proficiency
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail orientated with disciplined work habits
- A positive can do attitude is essential
